I talked to my mom today. She actually called me. I haven't spoken to her since April or before that. Well, she's quit drinking (she's been drinking excessively for 15 years) and has lost her job and has gained some sort of back problem. She weighs around 95 lbs now and can't really do anything because of the back pain. I could tell she had been taking painkillers of some kind because she sounded pretty wasted, but happy.
My sister left her dog with me for the weekend because the person that was supposed to watch it wouldn't. The dog is a Pitt Bull and her name is Mable. She's a pretty dog and nice to humans, but I can't keep her around the cats. She likes to use them for chew toys. So it's a pain to rotate all FIVE animals. At least I can let her sleep in her kennel thingy. Mason loves her and they are getting along great. Right now, they're outside chasing each other like crazy and having a good time. She is a very strong dog and I've already gotten up close and personal with those teeth of hers. She was playing, but it still hurt. I am very wary of these dogs. The last one I had mutilated a cat and took down a pony. This was after my stepfather had given her to someone else because she kept trying to eat our other dogs. That dog had come from another home and probably wasn't treated very well, so she was a bit off in the head. But still, I feel that this dog is a bit off too. Argh. I can't wait for Erin to get back from NY.
Erin was living with a bunch of people she knew. One of them was a guy she was thinking about dating. Well, on Thursday she had gotten into some sort of fight with him and the guy stole ALL her stuff! She called the police and got most of it back. He had thrown her saddle and clothes into a dumpster at the 7-11 down the road and poured some sort of glue all over the clothes. Most of them are stuck together and completely ruined. She's going to get the money back for her clothing. The guy took over $1300k worth of stuff! The jerk even made 98729347 calls on her cell phone too!
The funeral for Dylan's uncle is today. ugh.
