I told my son about how the Harry Potter books are being banned or even burned.
After reading two of the articles on the subject, he said "That's lame. I'm glad my school hasn't done it."

While checking out the news on several sites yesterday morning, I came across this little article. Why are people so stupid? I mean, come on...it's a book, nothing more. Here is my reply on their message board. I could waste a lot of time writing a nice big rant here, but I won't. It's pretty pointless. I won't be able to change anyone's negative views on witchcraft or paganism. So I'm not going to bother. Blah.
Kal purchased The Sims, a game I had intended to purchase ages ago, but never remembered when I was out. He kept talking about how much he liked it, so I purchased it yesterday. Wow, it is neat, but it also consumes a lot of time!!! Dylan played it today and managed to get the parents killed and the son was sent off to military school for being bad. hehe
I slept a lot today, which of course screwed up my plans of doing things around the house. The setting the clocks back thing always messes me up. It's worse in the spring too. What's worse is that I still feel tired.

I don't watch tv, but it was on in here and I happened to glance at the show called 'Three Sisters' the other night. Ack! Want to see something scary? Look at Dyan Cannon's plastic surgery. Ugh. The pictures online aren't that bad, you *have* to see the show. Gods, she's just plain scary. Her face, it's *not* natural.
Keith and I had lunch with Sara today. Sara left (escaped) our department a year ago and is now a training assistant with our company. She is on her 35th smoke free day and has lost 15lbs as well! Wow! Not that she needed to lose the weight...hehe.
Today seemed soo long. I wish I hadn't taken an hour lunch, it really sucked to have to stay at work until 6:30. Especially since one of my 'not so favorite' coworkers was still there and came to talk to me while I was trying to calculate finance charges and a bunch of other crap.
I need to get to work early one day next week so I can go sign up for classes. Yes, I'm going back to school. I desperately need a better paying job. I need to get away from my department. My current job is boring. It is simple. Most would say it's a cake job and I shouldn't complain. But I just get so frustrated doing something that's not challenging. I've changed job functions like crazy in there, and still I am bored. Yes, I can do anything in payment investigations, but that's not what I want to do for the rest of my life. If I'm going to sit in front of a computer for 40+ hours a week, then I want to do something I like.

This is my most favorite holiday of all!
I won the costume contest (for best costume) today at work! Too bad the prizes were movie tickets though. Oh well. I wore a renaissance dress that's green with some purple accents and a black cloak and I even did my hair! People were weirded out to see me like that! mwahaha!
Dylan's outfit consists of armor, a sword, shield, and a black cloak. He's a 'fighter guy'. Since I'm buying him a bow sometime soon, he wants to be an archer next year.
Happy Halloween!!!
