I've been up all day, waiting for the person to bring the water heater. I'm soo tired. He finally calls at 4:30 and says he'll be here by 6pm. Then he asks for my husband and I said he's not here. He gets an attitude with me for some reason. Like, what's the difference? If the counter needs to be cut, I am perfectly capable of handling a friggin saw. *rolls eyes* Anyhoo, now he's here.

Well, my husband got here and cut off half of the counter top and the water heater is just...scary. The entire top is bulging and rusted and icky. He's amazed it didn't blow up. I took a few pictures for the insurance thing. yuck.

He says this is going to be a total pain in the ass and will be extremely messy when he pulls it out. The person who put in some of the stuff in this house was an idiot. They built the island in the kitchen around the damn water heater. Duh.

great...they gave us the wrong size heater. No hot water whatsoever until monday night. GRRRRRRR!!!!!!

I'm tired, hungry, grouchy, I have a headache and I want to go to bed. *growls*

Eeeek!! Change of plans! *gasp* I was in a meeting today and the senior manager said he wants to utilize my knowledge and abilities and whatnot and put me in a different job function than encoding. I *think* it might be some of the Canadian account stuff. I've worked with Canada before, so it makes sense. The person that was doing the work quit to stay at home with his kids and they haven't found anyone to replace him. The work is *much* easier than encoding and Robert will be my manager, so that won't be so bad. We'll see what happens when I show up on Monday...

The new hot water heater should be here today. Yay! It sucks when the hot water runs out. It really does. brrrr.

Some weird woman was outside at work tonight. She wants me to help her rid her house of some ghost. She said that the ghost likes to move things and keep the bedroom closet door open. I have no clue who she is or why she picked me to tell it to leave, so I just smiled and nodded and quickly went back inside. In my opinion, the ghost was there first. So it has the rights to the house and not her. *shrugs*

*stares into space for a while*

Gah, okay...time to do something productive!!!

Last day! Yay! No more incoming work for me! On Monday I'll be an encoder! Yes, I'm going to a yuckier job, but my supervisor from my current job is going to encoding too! yay! He's pretty cool and easy to get along with and he's funny. I like the encoding manager enough. She's been my manager before and we got along, so I think it will work out.

People at work whine too much. They do. Sheesh. All I heard last night was whining and complaining. During break I was quiet because I didn't have anything to add to the ranting that was going on. I am content enough with going to dayshift and don't really care about all that 'office politics' crap that goes on. Of course someone made a comment about the quiet thing. I don't think they were very happy about me not caring.

I'm currently doing a yucky, icky, stupid, difficult project that's sucking badly and I have to get it all done tonight. Yuck! Oh well, keeps me away from reading mail. But still, Yuck! *makes Calvin faces* It's really yucky!

I'm quite sleepy and in a good mood...I'm in a somewhat silly mood actually...being tired does that to me :) I was quite productive tonight. I was able to get lots of stuff done, and read a bit. A good night indeed.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say something...

KALAELYAN...WAKE UP!!! YOU SLEEPYHEAD!!!

Okay...now I feel better!

Anyhoo, Bedtime for me!

I made a neat dessert thingy for the dinner at work tonight. It's called "Dirt Dessert". It looks like a pan of dirt and worms. It's pretty neat. You can also put it in a clean planter with a fake flower poked into it and serve it that way. :) I got the idea to make it from hearing about the show called "Survivor". Something about them having to eat worms, or something icky like that. We're supposed to be watching it while having dinner at work this evening.

This is the recipe:

Dirt Dessert

Ingredients:

1 pkg Oreo cookies, finely ground
1 pkg Philly Cream Cheese (8 oz)
1 stick butter or margarine (1/2 C)
1 C. Powdered sugar
12 oz tub of Cool Whip
2 pkgs instant vanilla pudding mix
4 C. cold milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Take package of oreos and grind to the consistency of sand in a food processor. Set aside.
Mix cream cheese and butter in large bowl with powdered sugar. Add cool whip and mix well. In a separate bowl, make pudding using the two mixes and milk as stated on package directions. Add the pudding mixture to the cool whip mixture and mix well. Add the vanilla.
Place 1/2 of the oreo mixture in the bottom of a 9x13 pan. Spread all of the cool whip mixture over the oreo mixture. Top with the remaining oreo mixture and place in refrigerator to cool. Before serving, put gummy worms on top for the desired 'dirt and worms' appearance.

Dylan forgot his homework yesterday, so we didn't have to do that. Thank goodness he has a 'get out of homework free' pass! We had greek food for dinner (Dylan didn't like his Gyro at all), talked a bit and then I went to bed when the guys got here. I was able to sleep through all the noise, thank the gods. I woke up around 1am or so and actually felt pretty good. Dylan was in the bed with me and had put his elbow in my side, which is why I woke up. John and Ted were still here. They usually stay late after D&D so they can play some snowboarding game on the PS2.

I decided to take a shower to help make me feel more awake. Suddenly the hot water heater gave out, just two days before the new one is to arrive...dammit! So all the water got cold half way through my shower. brr! I was definitely awake then! Talk about being cold! brrrrrrr! It's heating enough water for a sink full of dishes or half a shower (or a really uber fast one!). Cold showers in the winter suck, btw.

After my shower, I decided to clean out the fridge. No science experiments, thank goodness. I managed to toss all the half bottles of marinades and sauces that someone bought and then decided they didn't like. I have no idea why they wanted to keep them, but if they want them, it's too late now! mwahahaha!!! My fridge is all clean and sparkly! (and the recycle bin is already half full!) I remember cleaning out the fridge one time and finding nine jars of different types of pickles. NINE! Gah! Like they need NINE different types of pickles!! Sheesh! That's almost as bad as all the remotes they have in the house. *rolls eyes*

I wrote a post for the Inn after Kal posted one of his own (which was great!). Then I read a bit of Faiths & Avatars , which is a really good book to have. I've also been reading some stuff on a few Forgotten Realms sites about different deities and whatnot.

Two more work days!

I am holding Vicki's pet alien hostage. Mwahahaha! Somehow it had fallen behind her computer when she moved her stuff from her old desk. I like the monitor closer to me than she had it, so I pulled it forward and found the little guy hiding there.

Her reply to me was : *gasp* "HOW DARE YOU!!!!! OH MY GOD!!!! YOU LEAVE MY POOR HELPLESS ALIEN ALONE!"

*snickers*

Now that Dylan's off to school, I'm going to bed. Night!

This (lack of) sleep issue is getting really old.

I feel so drained and tired and want to sleep, yet I can not completely fall asleep!

My mind won't shut off and I can't get comfortable. I have tossed and turned so much that my cat is starting to give me glares as if she's telling me to be still!

She's sleeping just fine, because I'm not in there. *glares back at her cat*

Nothing bothersome is going through my head while I'm in bed. That's the thing. I can't figure out *why* I can't sleep. Only good stuff enters my head, well...okay, a bit of blah stuff, like wondering why I'm not sleeping and how tired I'm going to be tonight when I have to do homework. Everything else is mostly just pleasant thoughts and ideas which are keeping me awake. I don't want them to go away. I just want them to settle down a bit.

I have always had this problem, even as a kid. Though today, it's not as bad as it could be. I remember going through this almost *every* day for a month. This was a year or so ago. I was so out of it every day. My mind did not want to rest until around 6pm, which of course I was at work by that time. I would be in bed all morning and afternoon and couldn't sleep. My mind was going 948734597 mph and not wanting to stop. I would get out of bed and try to do something, anything to get it to just want to shut down so I could get some 'normal' sleep and be able to function. I was so happy when that problem went away. It comes and goes, but having it for a month straight was really taxing.

I don't really feel like doing house stuff right now, but I will do it anyway. Perhaps *that* will tire me out enough so I can get some sort of sleep in before people show up for D&D. I'd try to sleep tonight, but I know that will be impossible because they are quite loud when playing. I find it hard to sleep when they are 'consulting with the dirt' so loudly!! :)

I just want to sleep!

Sleep sucked so bad today. The wind was blowing and making the windows rattle. The trash can across the street fell and made noise. I was woken up by a rude person around 11:30. I tossed and turned. I got up for a while. I crawled back into bed. I nodded off. The trash truck woke me up when I had finally dozed off. I tossed and turned some more. Then it was time to go to work. I was sooo sleepy all night at work. Yuck.

A supervisor at work was fired for falsifying his timecard, or something like that. Work sucked. I'm tired.

I did move my stuff to my new desk. yay. Such excitement.

I finished my book this weekend, it was really, really good! I also did more organizing and such, got new computer stuff, wrote stuff, made an appointment, and managed to sleep way too much. Such excitement, I don't think I can handle it. *twitch*

Now if I can only get that copy of Dragon Magazine...ooh elves...*drools*...

Three more days of working in my current position and then I go to dayshift! Yay...I think...
Dayshift is good. The actual work I will be doing...well, I have no idea how it will be.

I do know that it *will* help matters which I have to deal with and my son is happy that he will see me more. I will be spending *much* more time with him, so that is definitely a good thing!

Now for bed...I hope I can fall asleep now. I had too much sleep this weekend, so it might hurt my sleep schedule today.
