The encoding team's manager, Tami, came to me today and told me that I got the job in on her team. Yay! I can finally go to dayshift now. I can start my shift between 7 and 8:30 am. But...will I be able to handle the schedule change? Ack! I haven't worked a consistent dayshift schedule in ages! Three years to be exact. Yuck. Oh well, it's for the good of my son and that's what matters most to me.
I ended up doing a lot of different things tonight. I helped people who had questions and spoke with my current manager and supervisor. I was able to enjoy my longer breaks, which we've been deserving for a long time! Thanks to our new senior manager, we now can have longer breaks and we have to take a lunch. Now I will have some time to read while at work! :) My current manager bought everyone pizza for dinner, which was very cool. She also bought a cake for the people who have a birthday this month.
I had a lot of pain tonight, it hasn't hurt this bad in a while. My knee, hip and back were having sharp and strong pains every time I moved. On top of it all was the headache. I am getting more headaches lately, most likely from all the stupid stress that tends to find me. I didn't have anything for the pain, so I asked one of the people who usually carry stuff with them. So she gives me two painkillers and says that she takes them a lot and they should help pretty fast. Stupid me, I say okay and take them. So after a half hour I feel nothing. She asked me if they were working and I said no. She gave me a strange look and went back to her desk. So I get my pizza and continue to work. Then the painkillers start to work. The room felt like it spun around really fast a few times. I felt dizzy and wasted. I got up and had to really concentrate on walking. Pain was gone though. It took a long time for those things to wear off. I mean, the effects can be fun and relaxing, but these almost made it difficult for me to function, not to mention it could have been dangerous as well. *slaps hand* Bad Cel, no more strange drugs at work for you!!!
The worst part is that Ricky knew I was a bit tipsy from the painkillers and picked on me big time!! I threatened to call his girlfriend!! He kept pushing me and picking on me and poking me in my sides (I am EXTREMELY ticklish!!!) Bad Ricky! Bad!!!
After getting home and stumbling around in the dark for some sort of comfy clothing, I came here and got to read a new post that Kal wrote. It was great! They always are! *waves to Kal* I wrote one myself, it was long, but fun to write. Now I think Kal is up to writing another post, oh my! *looks frightened*
Soon I will wake my son and take him off to school, then I'll stay up a little while longer before passing out until it's time to get ready for work.
Such an exciting life this is.
