| Support our US Armed Forces Kenilworth Centennial 5K Freedom Run and 2K Freedom Walk hosted by the Kenilworth Centennial Committee, will be held on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007 (rain or shine). 10 a.m. from the North 22nd/21st Street municipal parking lot behind the Kenilworth Seniors� Center. The events are being held in conjunction with the national �America Supports You� program, which recognizes residents� support for U.S. military men and women and communicates such support to members of the Armed Forces at home and abroad. There is a $5 fee to take part in the noncompetitive 2K Freedom Walk, and children, youths and adults of all ages are invited to participate as individuals or as part of a group/organization. All participants must register in order to receive a commemorative T-shirt. The registration fees for the 5K Run are as follows: Advance registration (by Sept. 10): $17; Registration for USATF members (by Sept. 10): $15; Registration after Sept. 10: $20. Advance registration for the Freedom Walk and the Freedom Run is strongly encouraged to ensure T-shirt availability. Monetary donations for the U.S. troops are welcome and may be made, in care of the Kenilworth Centennial Committee, at the time of registration. Awards for the 5K Freedom Run will be given to the top male and female finisher in the overall race and to the top three male and female finishers in each of the designated 10-year age groups (14 and under to 75 and over).
