Jon

Jonathan Burkhart:
Lead Vocals, Guitars and Keyboards

Jon grew up in the mountain-city of Clyde, NC. Dismayed by the lack of rock music in Clyde and other various towns, Jon moved with his folks to Virginia when he was three. Starting a band thirteen years later with a few friends, Jon learned to sing and play the guitar. After a few failed bands in the Richmond area, Jon met up with Jim, Stephan, and Travis for some original rock music. Some influences include Radiohead, the Smashing Pumpkins, Cursive, and the Magnetic Fields. Jon gets along well with most people and pets.

Steve

Stephan LaJaunie:
Guitars, Backing Vocals

Stephan started playing the guitar when he was twelve years old, this is when he realized that playing the violin was not going to help his chances of joining a rock band. Since living back in Richmond he played in the short-lived band called The Repeats, who only stayed together for a few shows, and now finally joining Celebrated Summer after a temporary hiatus from music. Stephan has a variety of musical influences ranging from bands like Joy Division and The Cure to newer music such as Sigur Ros, but his biggest influence is Johnny Marr of The Smiths.

Jim

Jim Broyhill:
Bass Guitar, Keyboards and Moog Synthesiser

If rocking the bass were a crime, Jim would be given the electric chair. Beginning music a few years ago with a vintage moog synth, he soon became interested in bass and started The Repeats with Stephan. After that band broke up, much time was squandered in search of a new band. Jim's bass style tends to be fast and melodic, often throwing in Peter Hook-esque leads. His main musical influences are New Order, the Pixies, and the theme song from Good Times.

Travis

Travis Beattie:
Drums

Travis has been playing drums since age 12, but never really took it seriously until about 4 years ago when he co-founded No One's Neighbor w/ some friends. Travis enjoys playing drums and learning/listening to many genres of music as much as he can. Stewart Copeland, George Hurley, Bill Stevenson, Young Sam Young, Kenny James and Jeep MacNichol are some of his influences.
