Celebrated Summer started out in the Spring of 2003 with three original members, Jon, Steve and Jim. The three of them played their guitars to a drum machine in an apt. in Richmond's FAN district. After three practices and four finished songs later, they decided to unplug the drum machine and search for a human drummer, where after a short search, they met Travis and instantly found a mesh between rhythm and melody. Our collective influences include, but not limited to Radiohead, Sugar, The Smiths, The Cure, The Police, The Pixies, Jeep, Smashing Pumpkins, Interpol and Cursive.
