Egypt
View of Naama Bay where we first stayed just north of Sharm El Sheikh.
Aerial view of one of the reefs off the coast of Sharm El Sheikh. South Sinai.
RIGHT: The "Blue Hole" at Dahab, a famous diving site. The hole is approx 100m deep with a 40m archway cavern opening to the ocean at 60m. Many people have died here trying to test there abilities at deep diving and there a number of plaques on the cliffs telling their names. We free dived here but not too exciting if unable to dive the depths which takes special training.
Across the Gulf of Aqaba out from here about 18km is Saudi Arabia. When clear you can see the Saudi Mountains.
One of the climbs down into the "White Canyon" in the Sinai Desert. Amazing place. The canyon itself leads out to an oasis shown below. Bedouin people live here as they did 1000's of years ago.
The walk out of part of the canyon looking down to the oasis in the distance.
Unfortunately pictures of the pyramids and Cairo will have to wait due to some idiot playing with the digital camera and erasing about 200 shots.
