. Errin leads you down the Great Hall to a black door near the end. Passing through this door, you find yourself on a narrow stone ledge. A stair spirals up along the wall, disappearing into the gloom far above.

Below the ledge, where you feel in some danger of falling, the empty well of the tower continues down into impenetrable blackness. Yet you are not sure if you see something far below--a hint of mist, perhaps.

"Spooky, huh?" Errin says. "I've heard that this tower has been here forever."

Overcome with a sense of anxiety, you mention to Errin that you'd like to get out of here. He obliges.
