I have, on occasion, been known to do things on a whim.  Such was the case when I typed in my homepage URL at work and - voila - now accessible.  I haven't been able to do this since ... dunno, and I don't have time to search my archives to figure out, but not since June or July.  Don't know what caused the change, but I'm grateful - this is much easier to do at work and who knows, my updates may increase now.

Spent a magnificent weekend in the company of LA, the new number one person in my life.  Every visit brings us closer together, and this one more than most.  It was the first one where we could spend a significant amount of time in each other's company (four days).  Nothing about her drives me crazy - not one single little habit, expression, anything ... amazing.  As far as I know, it's the same case vice versa.  This just gets better and better.

I left my newly acquired X-Box behind for her personal enjoyment until the next time we're together.  She mentioned this valiant act to a co-worker, who informed her I'm surely a keeper since "guys are very attached to things like that".  Hmm.  My friends here in Ottawa are considerably less impressed with my valiance.  They fell in love with it in the two days they had to enjoy it, and one even called us while I was away to make sure it was coming home with me.  Alas, I have disappointed him, and now may find myself friendless until it is returned.  Such are the sacrifices I must make for the woman I love.

I think our online messaging saga has reached its end.  Too many misunderstandings, unnecessary worries, etc. - phone is so much better, uses the same connection, and she's now at a location where calling isn't a problem.  I may finally be retiring my ad.  After about ten months' experience I recommend it as a great way to meet people, but a not so great way to maintain contact.  But I'm not so enthusiastic about their new site design, so this is good timing.

Welcomed a call from a distant close (talk about your oxymorons) friend in Michigan today; which reminds me yet again I don't call my family often enough.  Writing critique class tonight ... but I'll get there.
