That's right, I'm getting all mushy on you now. Is this kid cute or what? This is my niece Katie, who I only get to see when I'm visiting my family up north. She grows by leaps and bounds; I have framed pictures in my apartment of her and they already look nothing like her anymore.
One of my aunt's passed away this weekend at the unfairly young age of 61; and one of my co-worker's fathers, as well. So I've been pausing now and then to mull over the issue of life and death. It's a timely reminder not to get too absorbed in my silly little day to day problems and concentrate on things that are really important. I oughta keep better contact with my family. I oughta remember to tell my friends when I'm going to be out of town for two weeks - sorry!
