| Wednesday April 24th 2002 Lots of things to talk about today so let's see how much I fit in. First, the new SW score is excellent! I had to fight with my dying CD player to get it to play, but it was worth the battle. I'm interested to see what effect having heard it will have on my first viewing of the movie (May 16th, people!!). Secondly, I'm backing out of plans to attend the local fitness centre I toured last night. Too expensive ($60 a month), too much time req'd, there's one here at work I'd probably use instead, or the one some friends of mine already go to. So that's out, for now. Third, I signed up for the writing class and the first one's tonight so we'll see how it goes. I've a bit of trepidation about it, since the fantasy genre I write in isn't considered 'real fiction' by the ivory tower elite. Hopefully this is a low-key group and I find some real help. Lastly (wow, that wasn't so hard), looks like CanGames finally got their act together and have started posting their game schedule (link on the right). If you're in the Ottawa area and have any interest whatsoever, plan to attend. It's a lot of buying, selling and trading, but mostly playing! They've a bunch of old favourites of mine I'm definitely going to take part in. Damn - now I have the opposite problem, I've little left to say. Keep meaning to write another letter to my pen pal, haven't sent her one for at least three, maybe four months now. I also have her e-mail address, which I haven't tried using yet. Some penpal I am - geesh! Normally I wait for a letter back from her first, but I also try not to let too much time pass. Got my computer desk together last night, set up in my kitchen (yeah I thought it was weird too, but it works!). Now I may finally get rid of the last of the boxes still lying around in my bedroom with all the computer-related stuff in them. That sums it up - except for the plant I bought yesterday. It's the first living thing in my apartment besides myself (guests not included). Hurrah - some company at last! :P |
