| Tuesday April 23rd 2002 My six year affinity for Netscape is finally coming to a sour end, as I'm forced to recognize it's totally incompatible with Windows 2000 and likes to play cheap tricks on me (it just crashed on me and erased my entry - again!). So I'm gradually accepting the fact I'm destined to be an IE convert, despite the fact I hate the way the bookmarking is laid out. Turns out I'm leading an even busier life now that I'm living on my own than before. I thought I'd have all sorts of free time on my hands to tackle my writing now, but I haven't even had an evening where I can set my computer up - maybe tonight, once I assemble my new desk. I did pick up a Word Finder, which is a great reference tool I found at the bookstore, and I'm trying to sign up for the writing class that's starting tomorrow night. That should help get me back on track. There really is no end to the fixing up you can do to an apartment. Next on my list is to buy a broom and a small vacuum, maybe a pail and a scrubbrush - haven't had any accidents yet, but it occured to me yesterday "if I drop this pot of spaghetti sauce, I really don't have anything to clean up the mess with right now". Then it's about time I looked into DVD players so I can finally start watching movies at home again. I also have to get some internet access at home so I can at least check my Yahoo email account and see who's been trying to contact me. The new SW soundtrack comes out today and I'm rather excited about that. I half expect it won't be important enough to the store that they'll have in stock on the day of its release but you never know. Getting a tour of the Fitness Centre after putting it off on Friday - and gotta do a small grocery trip. So there we go - another full evening. Sounds mundane, I know, but I'm going to spice things up this week when I go looking for a pair of rollerblades. Nothing like a ride in an ambulance after a tragic encounter with a tree to add glamour to your lifestyle! |
