The Northern Colorado Experience
This year we went back to Denver for the wholesale mineral/bead shows. It was sweltering (95), much hotter than Florida. :-(  The saving grace is that night temps drop to the mid 50's compared to our mid 70's. a cool front came through midway through the week and the rest of the vacation was wonderful.

2 nights in Denver, 1 in Silverthorne (with a morning in Vail), 3 in Estes Park, then back to Denver for the final night.

Elk were rutting and cars were lining up in the Rocky Mountain National Forest for the show. Jim had a nice "up close & personal" experience with a bull elk in our host's yard, but he got some great photos.

We stayed at Mountain Vista Acres B&B (formerly Glenn's Mountain Vista). Judy Speece was our wonderful hostess and a great cook. If you get the chance to stay in Estes Park, we highly recomend her place. It's close to town and the park, but off the main road. All you hear is the wind, birds, dogs and the occasional elk bugle. I've tried to arrange the pictures a little better this year. Should make it easier to move around.
