TIDBITS FOR EASY MAINTENANCE

  • For the proper storage of ‘tgcbr’ Trunk Group Bill Records of the I/C TGPs , the following parameters are to be defined . XCHG-TYP = 4 & CLI-INFO = 1 , in the System parameter and CAMA = YES & TGP-TYP = ORD in the TGP parameter.
  • In the 2_2_1_6 s/w Exchanges the NUM-ANI in the system parameter should be 10 and ARCD-DGT1 = 10 .
  • Transaction file size is reduced to 10,000 records. It is recommended that once in two months ‘transf’ back up should be taken and preserved.
  • C7 call Tracer is available in the 2_2_1_6 s/w. Using ‘mod-trk-obs’ one trunk should be put under ‘ISUP’ observation and the result can be viewed by command ‘displ-nsma-rpt’.
  • The number of trunk groups in a CGS group can be up to ‘40’.
To test a trunk using the dialing by equipment facility, the trunk should be put under ‘DBE-OBS’ using the command ‘mod-trk-obs’ and on doing so , the trunk will not be available for normal traffic.
  • For effecting the multimetering and no disconnection after 90 sec, and the subscriber to continue the call by inserting the next coin , “category based charging” is to be implemented. The parameter ‘sub-chrg-ctg’ should made as ‘2’ and the parameter ‘pco-mtr-lcl’ will be ineffective. The category assigned to the CCB-SUB to be defined with suitable charge rate number in the ‘mod-sub-crg’ command for local metering .
  • Once the ‘sub-chrg-ctg’ is made as ‘2’ for the Implementation of category based charging , the ‘bm-category’ and ‘an-category’ assigned in system parameter become ineffective. Only the category assigned to the subscribers in the ‘cre-sub’ command becomes effective.
  • Different area code can be assigned for AN-RAX , RSU and WLL BTS belongs to other SDCA and by using category based charging different charging is also possible. While the xcod is defined for the AN-RAX or BTS or RSU , the concerned area code is to be assigned in the command ‘mod-xcod’. The area code assigned with the xcod will be presented in the CLI of those subs group.
  • Separate special service numbers for AN-RAX and RSUs can be possible by the commands , ‘cre-annrm-config’ and ‘mod-rbmnrm-config’ respectively
*Revised patch 5.3 version is under validation and  released for field and  the above problems  have been solved in that release.
