Get arounds in 2-2-1-6 s/w (5.3 and 5.4 patches)

Problem 1:   DBE not working over Line or Junction in 2-2-1-6 s/w  (or)

                    Displ-trf-obs command for trunks (TRK) with DBE-OBS not working.

Solution:

    1.  If fresh data is created from 2111s/w /2214s/w to 2216s/w there will not be any problem.

    2.  This problem is observed when the retrofit is done from 2214 to 2216 where ED and BD of  2214 s/w is reused in 2216 s/w also. Then it is required to add one more record in iotslm  file   (this is a new record incorporated from 2216s/w) through datpat utility in both IOPS with  2_2_1_6 s/w as explained below.

            Iop5x> cd $GLBDATAP

            Iop5x> cp iotslm*  /data

            iop5x>  datpat

  •    input option:3 (add record)

  •    input filename: iotslm

  •    mod_num = 43

  •    entity_typ = 3

  •    obs_typ = 19

  •    max_limit = 32768

  •     curr_num_e = 0

  •     input option = 0 (exit)

Now  verify  1. displ-trf-obs command for trunks and it should display the proper report without any error.  2. In case of DBE testing over line, the Subscriber should have DBE facility and DTMF  3. In case of DBE testing over junction/trunk, the particular trunk should be put under DBE-OBS which can be given by a command “mod-trk-obs”.

 Problem 2:  Getting Mixed/Garbled announcements or

                      In 2216s/w (5.3 and 5.4 patch) Rout busy announcement coming during   Dynamic locking  procedure (i.e Activation/Deactivation)

     1. Do the following in both IOPs.

            Iop5x>cp $GLBDATAP/bpanpg*  /data

            Iop5x>cp $PRCDATAP/ioanpgxx.dat $GLBDATAP/bpanpg.dat

            Iop5x>cp $PRCDATAP/ioanpgxx.idx $GLBDATAP/bpanpg.idx

Iop5x>cp $PRCDATAP/ioanpgxx.lok $GLBDATAP/bpanpg.lok

            Where xx is the Language ID to be loaded to support desired Bilingual announcements.

Language IDs: 00=English only, 01=English/Hindi, 02=English/Kannada,                           03=English/Malayalam, 04=English/Telugu, 05=English/Marathi,                                    06=English/Tamil, 07=English/Oriya, 08=English/Assamese,09=English/Bangla

  2. a) Give a Part-init to the System from ACT-IOP in CRP mode by using ‘INIT-SYS:,3;’ command.

 b) Unequip and Equip ANNC cards in ON-LINE and verify Announcements.

 c) Make sure that New Announcement EPROMs position in ANNC card are U72 and U75 for Activation /Deactivation of SIF codes like Dynamic  locking.

 3. In case of 2216s/w do the ANNC-TONE Mapping as follows:

  Since Programmed regional announcements for SIF Activation and Deactivation are available NOW  in 2216s/w (5.3 or 5.4 patch), it is required to do ANNC-TONE mapping in ONLINE mode from  ACT-IOP by using the following CRP command(s).

 mod-annc-tone: [BM-NUM]:all, [SW-MAP]: 32-32, [OOS-MAP]: 4-11;

Repeat :- mod-annc-tone: [BM-NUM]:all, [SW-MAP]: 35-35, [OOS-MAP]: 7-12;

 Note-1: Before executing above commands make sure of all ANNC cards of all BMs are Equipped in  the system. Note-2: If ANNC is not available  (not equipped or OOS) in any BM, the above commands to be executed in BM wise.
