Canadian Stamps Online |
This website allows collectors to see representative samples of Canadian stamps. They are presented in blocks of 25, based on traditional catalogue numbers, more for ease of page creation than grouped by issue, since some groups will flow from page to page. The collection, with comments and notes, come from the websites generous enough to share their scans with the rest of the philatelic community. Any valuations presented, comments and numbering are taken from the various websites, mainly auction houses, preparing for their monthly sales. Values reflect estimates from Spring 2000. URLs of source websites are sometimes listed at the bottom of each page. There are no hyperlinks, so you need to copy and paste them into your browser search window. I didn't include them because they change frequently and I don't have time to maintenance them on a regular basis. If these pages help you gain some knowledge, or clarify a specific stamp's details, then the work has been worthwhile, since that's why the project was started in the first place; a tool to help me organize my own collection. (And see the originals easier too!) As with other collections and hobbies, these pages will be updated as time permits, so check back to see how things are progressing. And if you see errors, please let me know so I can correct my oversights. (And there will be some; I've already discovered that even though they're presented on a website by professionals or printed in a reference, they can be mislabelled) And if you're looking for topicals to add to your collection, check out my pages devoted entirely to this area as well!
