| This page will give brief summary's of some of the main cast of characters.. and does contain a spoiler or two Catalina Creel (Maria Rubio) Maria Rubio has forever imortalised Catalina Creel in the history of Mexican Telenovela's as the elegant and politley spoken arch-villan. Mother of Alejandro, Catalina did everything she could to give her son everything. Contrasted by the hate she had for her husband's other son, Jose Carlos, and thus, invented the fact that he damaged her eye when he was young with a spinning top, having to have it replaced with a glass eye. Covering her eye with a patch to hide it. Based partially on The Anniversary, a 1968 film ( released by 20th Century Fox ) starring Bette Davis, who also wore a patch, Catalina Creel is long remembered, as the greatest villian of the telenovela's Leonora Navarro (Diana Bracho) Naive Leonora Navaro became involved with the Larios' after the head of the family, Carlos Larios' car crashed into her office one morning. Meeting Alejandro shortly after, she was used to give Alejandro the blood son he needed to take the family empire for himself and his son. Determined to get revenge and get her son back, Leonora married Jose Carlos to find her way back into the Larios' lives to take her revenge. The role of Leonora was originally offered to Angelica Aragon, but ended up in the hands of Diana Bracho. Diana can be seen in the recent Mexican film Y Tu Mama Tambien. Alejandro Larios (Alejandro Camacho) Alejandro Larios After the death of his father, Alejandro was determined to get a son of his own blood in order to inherit the family buisness. However, with his wife Vilma being infertile, he chooses to convince a young woman he enounters , Leonora, after the death of his father that they are in love and they get married. Leonora then falls pregnant, once the baby is born, Alejandro with the help of the doctors, steals the baby away from Leonora passing it off as his own and Vilma's. Alejandro Camacho has starred in many novela's since Cuna De Lobos and is married to his co-star Rebecca Jones who played Vilma, they have a son too ( their own :P ) Maximiliano. Jose Carlos Larios (Gonzalo Vega) Jose Carlos, the eldest of the two brothers and hated by his step-mother, Catalina. He has a gambling problem, and returned to Mexico with the news of his father's death. Enquiring much about his father's death, to the annoyance of Catalina, Jose Carlos ended up marrying Leonora, out of what he thought was chance. Once in the Larios home together, Leonora slowly began her revenge on Alejandro and his family, opening Jose Carlos's eyes to the deception in his family at the same time. Vilma Larios (Rebecca Jones) Vilma is married to Alejandro, she is however infertile, although none in the family know this besides the both of them. When the need arrives to get a son of his own blood, Alejandro takes it upon himself, eventually gaining the son he wants so desperatley through Leonora. Vilma is oposed to her husband's plan, but changes her tone with el pequeno Edgar in her arms. Berta Moscoso (Rosa Maria Bianchi) Secretary to Catalina Creel, Berta knows all the in's and out's of Catalina's buisness. However, staying behind one day, Berta enounters Catalina holding an odd wig and glasses. As Berta begins to learn of the family's secrets she tries to leave her job there, to the point of changing her name. Planning her own justice for Catalina. Rosa Maria Bianchi had a role in the Mexican film Amores Perros which was released a while ago. Esperanza Mandujano (Carmen Montejo) Godmother of Leonora, Esperanza was always at Leonora's side, and always weary of the Larios'. Keeping her faith in the cards, she read of the troubles that would befall Leonora from the begining |
