| Here I show the disassembly of the output section. When disassembling, care must be taken when removing the transistor insulators, as they are easily borken. The thermal coat has dried and you can see how it flaked off when the transistors were removed. This is cleaned off with alcohol and a soft cloth. Transistors were polished with a fine water based polish (designed for use on plastics). New capacitors were installed, and new thermal coat was applied. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| You can see the oxidation on these output transistors. I think this unit came from an area with high humidity. They are polised bright. Care must be taken or you can remove the lettering along with the tarnish. |
