First of all I'd like to say that With that said, let's get started. WARNING!!!!!!! As you can tell from the following picture, Also I'd like to mention that the clothing is permanent But they are so darn adorable with those pajama's on!
You'll need to download Simpe Before you begin it's a good idea
Let's do it! In Simpe you're going to click on file, then open. Make your way to the Sims3D folder. Back in Simpe look on the left side of the screen Move to the right and click on "Name Map" there under "Packed Files". Find the "Plugin view" tab in the middle of the screen. and find "bubodydiaper-white0_ Move to the right and highlight and copy the "instance" number. Paste it into the "Instance" filter box on the top right of your screen. Move to the left and find "Large Image File" under "Filetypes". Then move over to the right again under "Packed Files" and click "Large Image File" there as well. You'll see a gray and white checkered screen with a diaper on it. Export it to somewhere safe on your computer. Then, open up the png file in your paint program. I like to use my airbrush tool. Make sure that you change the color to black and color in the diaper until there's no white showing. Your png file will now look like this. Just a note Once that's done be sure to save your edited png file Navigate your way to where you saved The diaper is gone. Your going to save it 2 times now. Then go to the file drop down menu Then you can make all kinds of pajama's for your babies
I am in no way an expert at modding,
creating custom content or
anything else that has to do with
changing anything in the game.
Therefore, if you choose to do this
please don't hold me responsible for any problems,
mishaps or game crashes that you may experience.
Please be sure to back up the files that you'll be altering,
In fact, it wouldn't hurt to copy
the whole game to a safe place somewhere on your
computer, just in case there should be any problems.
I've been experimenting with my custom skins
trying to find a way to
get rid of the diaper so that my
babies can wear long pajama's.
I can show you how to edit the alpha file
so that the diaper looks like it's under the pajama's instead of on top.
All the babies that are already in your game
without the long pajama's
will be wearing their birthday suits!(Kind of!)
the diaper shape is still quite noticeable.
and will not come off even when you bathe or diaper them.
So even though you are adding some realism to
one aspect of the game by giving them clothes
you are taking away from another and in my opinion
it does somewhat take away from the game a little
because it is really cute when they're getting a bath.
which is available here
and you'll also need to know how to make baby clothes.
Check out my tutorial which can be found here.
to decide where you would like to put your
"import" "export" and "backup" folders.
It's not mandatory that you make these folders
but it helps to have a specific place to look for the files when you need them.
I put mine on my desktop for easy access
from my Paint Shop Pro, but you can put them anywhere you'd like.
I made 3 folders and named them "export" "import" and "original".
Original is my backup folder where I will keep a copy of the png file untouched.
It will stay there until I decide to stop wearing the p.j's and bring the diaper back.
Export is where I send the alpha file from Simpe.
This one will also be an original copy but I like to make an extra
just in case the one in export becomes corrupted for any reason.
Import is where I send it to after I've alter it
so I can import it back into Simpe.
However you choose to organize yours is totally up to you.
It should be in C/program files/EAGames/TheSims2/TSData/RES/Sims3D
and click on the "Sims13.package" file.
under "filetypes" click on "Name Map".
Right click on it and click on "Export Alpha Channel".
This should be your backup copy and it will have to stay
on your computer until you're ready
to revert back to using the diaper again.
If you lose it or accidently delete it
all your babies will be naked
if you decide to stop using the long pajama's.
Now we're ready to go into our paint program and edit the png.
Just leave Simpe open and keep it right where it's at.
This can also be done in Windows default paint program too,
although I find it to be very limited as far as making clothes.
You can't really do too much.
someplace safe and easy to find.
Go back into Simpe and right click on the grey and white checkered area.
Click on "Import Alpha Channel"
the png file after you edited it.
First click on the save button that's right next to export
above the checkered area.
A message will pop up telling you
that the changes have been committed.
on the top left and click on save there as well.
If you don't know how just follow my tutorial
here
only make long pants like the one's below.
