Anna has a lifelong interest in plants, beginning at age 8 or so. Her mother's friends introduced her to comfrey root and a book on plants. She promptly went out and gathered lambs quarters, cooked them and served them for her family. She began college with a premed emphasis, but later changed it to psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Later, Anna studied with herbalists in Santa Cruz, CA . She is certified by American School of Herbalism, started by Christopher Hobbs, Michael Tierra, and Frank Leonardi. She is a member of the American Herbalists Guild.

Anna specializes in the integration of Traditional healing modalities with allopathic medicine, using Chinese and western herbs in concert with the client's existing regimen.
