Latin American Standard Time; or LAST is the preffered method used by Bzoners to measure the passage of time. Its' usage can at times become problematic when unused time buildup spills over into real time manifesting itself into too much time, a confusing state of timelessness when manana, instead of meaning tomorrow is understood as 'not now.'
A good example is a local band of would-be NASA engineers who have devised a unique plan to eliminate any extra time that might be floating around loose.
The Loconuts attempt to send the fruit of the coconut palm into low earth orbit by employing a backyard built and flatbed mounted Coco Catapult. Many a cow pasture have been seeded with their launchings and in the future palm groves will certainly be appearing in unlikely spots.
Since apparently nobody else on the planet is involved with a similar pastime the Loconuts have laid claim to a world record hurl of 567 feet. Until some competition shows up the guys have temporarily shelved plans to begin construction on their first 100 foot Coco Cannon. |
