Due to the welfare-to-work initiatives, Head Start families now have an overwhelming need for full day/full year child care. This partnership will enable us to provide comprehensive care to these children and families.

To begin with, children in the Head Start programs participated in the traditional four morning a week or home based programs, but, over time, families found that they required more care and assistance. That's where we come in! Child Care Services of York County (The Children's Center) provides child care services in the same setting for the remaining hours their parents need for finding, maintaining and/or training for employment.
