If you have a child enrolled in the Sanford Head Start program, you can have full day/full week care. Are you working, in job training or have other family needs? Your child will be able to stay until 5:3- p.m. every day and all day on the days that Head Start is closed, including summers and most school holidays. This "Wrap Around Care" is being provided by an agreement between York County Head Start and The Children's Center.

The Children's Center will provide child care services at the Sanford I Head Start site for children in need of full day/full week, full year care. Fees are based on a sliding scale and the amount of hours needed per week.

"Wrap Around" cares for 14 children. Priorities for enrollment are:

• Children ages 3 ½ to 5 years of age enrolled in the Sanford Head Start whose parents are working, looking for work or receiving training
• Siblings of the Head Start children enrolled in "Wrap Around"
• Income eligible children from the community

Our "Wrap Around Care" is available year round with the exception of nine holidays and two staff training days. The program is also closed for one week at Christmas and one week in July.

"Wrap Around" is available from 12:30 (after the center-based program finishes) until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursdays and 8:00 until 5:30 on Fridays, holidays or snow closings.
