Born in Manila, Philippines August 20, 1960 . She finished her first course in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the oldest university in the Philippines, University of Santo Tomas . After graduation, she enrolled in her second course and finished with a degree of Doctor of Optometry in 1986 from the Manila Central University. She also took Masteral Course from the Central Colleges of the Philippines where she has been a faculty member since 1988. She finished her Master of Arts in teaching in 1996.

She underwent several post-graduate trainings and her fields of specialization are : 1.) Visual Field testing and Interpretation, 2.) Low Vision Assessment.

At present, she is a member of the Association of Orthoptists in the Philippines, the Society of Contact Lens Practitioner, the Optometric Association of the Philippines (OAP) and the Manila Optometric Society.

She is currently the clinical supervisor of the CCP College of Optometry.
