2008 sees this fine tournament celebrate its 9th year. This illustrious event will take place on the 2nd weekend of September and is played over three days. 24 finely tuned athletes will gather at some of the finest golf courses in Palm Springs to compete for the coveted prize of THE CUP. This prestigious trophy represents the true qualities required to be champions. Its worth is unquantifiable and ownership of the cup for the year is the main desire of the captain. It has become tradition to pull your winnings from the cup at the end of the hard fought matches, but the real reward in winning is being part of the team whom collectively brought and executed the better game. Regardless of handicap, there is no match that is a lock. On any given shot, hole, round or weekend, the twenty can humble the scratch. It is one thing to golf. Another to golf for 3 days in a row. Yet another to golf for 3 days in a row in Palm Springs. But to golf for 3 days in a row in Palm Springs with 20 of your friends makes it quite a weekend. |
