Assistant Director

Mary King (MEK)
has been involved with barbershopping for more than 20 years, having sung baritone or tenor in three Harmony, Inc. choruses: the Mel-O-Dees of Truro, the ScotianAires of Dartmouth, and currently the Citadel Chimes. She has been a section leader in all these choruses and has sung in many quartets over the years. She sings baritone with EXIT 4, the 2005 Area 1 Quartet Champion.

She has been actively involved in directing for the past four years and enjoys working closely with Joanne as our assistant director. For the past many years MEK has participated in the Harmony Intensive Training School (HITS) Directing Programme.

She is our vocal warm-up expert, and comes up with clever songs and challenging exercises that make warm-ups fun!
