The best thing about homeschooling is ... actually having the time to teach, train, and build into your child the things that are really important in life such as relationship with God, character, and love of learning.

The biggest challenge is ... finding the time to rest, relax, and refuel personally.

The best teaching tip I ever heard ... is to not feel guilty when your children are learning so independently that you aren't doing much formal instruction any more.  Self-learning is the goal!

I regain my perspective and sense of humor by ... looking at the picture, remembering WHY I am doing this, and reviewing all that's been accomplished.  It's helpful when God gives you at least one child in the family (such as our youngest daughter) that makes sure everyone does not take themselves too seriously! :-)

Running the homeschool goes better when I remember to ... pray, plan ahead, and not try to do too much.

The spiritual exercise or devotion that is most helpful to me is ... spending time with God first thing in the morning and maintaining a "pray without ceasing" attitude during the day.

The best advice my parents gave me is ... "When a task is once begun, never leave it 'till it's done.
Be it great, or be it small,
Do it well or not at all."
