"Cay Son"-The Lacquer Tree- offers classes for anyone willing to learn the fascinating Art of traditional Lacquer painting, SON MAI (Lacquer, Sanding). In our lessons, we focus on VietnamοΏ½fs original techniques using 100% natural lacquer. All our instructors are professional lacquer painters who have extensive years of experience in traditional SON MAI. The classroom is located in a picturesque Vietnamese style garden house. You donοΏ½ft necessarily need to have experience in lacquer or art. Our tutoring is based around each individuals objectives.

Classes
We have classes by two talented artists, Saeko Ando and Nguyen Huy Hoan, and a young artist Nguyen Quoc Cuong. They will teach you the A to Z of Son Mai painting.

Open workshop
In learning Son Mai, it is also very important to keep working on your own utilising the techniques you learn in the class. You are welcome at our workshop to use the facility during open workshop hours.

Notice1: Prices are inclusive of painting materials except painting boards.
Notice2: Registration is required for each class either on a weekly or monthly basis. Open Workshop does not require registeration.
Notice3: Open workshop tickets are not transferrable.
