The Economics Of Time

It's the Fourth of July weekend again...

Practice was cancelled again.   I suppose this is a tough weekend to set up rehearsal.   The musicians committing to this project are still in other bands,  and it's tough to get them interested when there's no work yet.   And although this situation is very understandable,  it really puts a burden on me since I'm not doing anything else and making the sacrifices to put this band together.

Despite the odds,  I still feel confident.

I did a lot of gardening around the house,  mainly trimming some shrubs and trees.   It was a beautiful day,  nice and sunny with a gentle, cool breeze blowing from the southwest.   Perfect weather for gardening.   The geraniums were looking very good and I propagated some into other areas of the backyard.   The hibiscus tree was blooming,  as well as the two hibiscus shrubs.   The lantanas were also blooming,  profusely.   So,  the backyard is now blooming in pinks, reds, purples, oranges and yellows.

The boys are over at their grandma's this weekend.   We'll pick them up tomorrow in time for the Fourth of July fireworks.   So my wife and I we're enjoying the house to ourselves today.

I played music all day long,  so we definitely had our fill today,  playing music in the background as we did gardening and stuff around the house...   just a relax day to balance the stressful days.
