Palm Springs

Nate and I left from his house around 3:30pm for the commute up I-15 to Palm Springs.   We had a gig tonight at the Blue Tattoo.   I haven't been impressed with the crowds there,  and I don't think it's us.   It's just the location of the club,  and it's actually just outside of Palm Springs in Rancho Mirage.

The gig tonight went well.   Even though I had a good warm up routine,  I didn't play very well to my standards, especially on Sing, Sing, Sing.   Surprisingly,  I did feel more controlled and comfortable with my playing during the third and last set.

Angela,  a good friend of the band's and a resident of Palm Springs came too late.   She had just gotten off work and made the trek down hopefully to catch us for the last set.   Unfortunately for her,  we started an hour earlier and ended an hour earlier than usual.

Well,  after some friendly hugs,  we were on our way home to San Diego.   The freeway was extremely windy just after leaving Palm Springs,  but settled down heading towards Hemet.

I got home at 3:30am....    I was extremely tired,  and I remember Angela noticed that it showed when she saw us back at Rancho Mirage.   I was still trying to rebound from the mini-tour.....
