WEDNESDAY        September 16, 1998

Woke up and quickly got the kids ready for school.   The usual routine...   get the older boy off to school and on his school bus at 8:05am.   I drove my younger boy to his elementary school and walked him to the line up on the blacktop by 9:05am.

After this, I went home and tried to get to sleep but I couldn't.   I needed it badly, being that I got home early in the morning about 2am after last night's Hop City gig in Anaheim.

Well, I checked out email.

Then, I went to the post office to mail an autographed CD to Ashley in Atlanta, Georgia.   She's a big fan of the band's and has promised us some down home southern-style cookin', if and when we passed through Atlanta on an east coast tour.

There were two interesting magnets at the post office, an 'Uncle Sam Wants You' magnet and a 'Crayola' magnet,  both based on commemorative stamps.   I just had to get them to add to our refrigerator magnet collection.

Checked my P.O. Box...  nothing today.

I dropped by Borders, which I haven't done in a long time.   I spent much of the morning at Borders.   There's is just too many things I want to buy from a store like Borders.  Anyway, I walked away from there with three CDs:   Stravinsky's Firebird and Petroushka Ballet Suites,  Keith Jarrett's Luminesence,  and a compilation album entitled 'Sirens of Song', which contained a song I had been looking for, for a long time,  a Gershwin song entitled 'But Not For Me', this version sung by Judy Garland.

I got back to the house and checked email again and had lunch.

After working on one of my websites, I tried to rest a bit.   I couldn't actually sleep, but I did rest for about half an hour.

I then exercised for about half an hour, doing mainly calisthenics, weight training, and crunches.   I was not able to get to the treadmill for some reason.

After my eldest boy arrived and after picking up my youngest from his school,  I dropped off my youngest son at my sister-in-law's house just up the street.  That's where most of the neighborhood kids congregate, ride their bikes and just have fun.

I then took my eldest son to his soccer practice at 4pm, which lasted until 5:30pm.

Getting back from soccer practice,  I checked email again, posted some messages, and then ate dinner and watched the news.

Then I got ready for our gig at Tio Leo's tonight.
