Summon Monster/ Guardian Force Siren, as she appears in FF8. I liked how the character designers translated the siren concept... as a child, somehow I got the impression that a siren was another name for a mermaid, and was quite disorientated and upset to find they actually had bird-like bodies! From that point, I had difficulty envisioning sirens as creatures of intoxicating beauty, as described in all the stories. (Chicken legs kept springing to mind!) Square's siren is a figure of grace and beauty, her special magical attack is to silence (stem magical powers) of the enemy with her song.
