This is the Guardian Force/ Summon Monster Shiva, as she appears in FF8. Shiva's da bomb! Her manifestation in FF8 is undoubtedly my favourite... her attack animation is superb, the fluidity and grace of her movements as she musters the immensely powerful ice storm is such an emotive sequence! Here I tried to capture Shiva's movements as she carries out her 'Diamond Dust' attack. This is one of my favourite drawings ever, in that you can almost sense the enormity of the attack Shiva is mustering.
