This one was hastily put together for one o' the many projects in my art club, Bifrost. It's a gorgeous young sorceress giving a fat poo-nug-of-a-bat a tickle. Hehe.
First I scanned and sitiched a couple o' sketches together in photoshop. Brought it into illustrator and traced the outlines, then back into photoshop. I made the image grey (instead of mostly white) by choosing image>adjust>brightness/contrast, and then used mostly the dodge, burn and multiply tools to define the different tones on the pic. To colour, I selected image>adjust>variations and tinted each part the colour I wanted.
I added some text and some more layers for the colourful background. You can view the final piece here.
