Resources for Undergraduate Students
(currently a work in progress)

I suppose an explanation of this page would be a good place to start.  From time to time, I have (or think I have) good ideas.  I have also read and heard from others a number of things that have been of great benefit to myself.  This web page is an attempt to pass along a number of those ideas.  The content here is intended for undergraduate students trying to make the most of their time and efforts.  I have kept in mind specifically students interested in the sciences (primarily biology), mainly those that enjoy learning, and are (even potentially) considering pursuing advanced degrees (M.D., Ph.D, etc) following the completion of their undergraduate coursework.  I will try to include things on this page that will be useful to these students (some material will be useful to just about anyone).  If you think of anything you would like to see added to this page, please email me (jdwalker*at*cc.usu.edu) and let me know.

Anyway, here are the things I (eventually) intend to incude on this page (to be ordered later):

A list of recommended readings (some subject-specific)

Essay: "Advice to Undergraduate Students"

Essay: "How to get involved in research"

Essay: "How to make the most of your four years: a learning philosophy"

Links to other useful pages (feel free to make suggestions)

Other stuff...?
