.:Thought-ish Thoughts of Thoughtful Doom:.

.:Yay! 20/3/06:.

In Flames! They're comming back! And this time they'll be only 3-4 miles from my house! (kidnapping oportunity anyone?).... They're doing the 'In The Pit' thing with a bunch of other bands.... Sadly it's not my fantasy show, which was a reality, but which I did not get to attend: the one with In Flames, Devil Driver & Trivium. Darn eh?

Also, the line-up for OzzFest is out, aside from the guest headliner on the second stage (please don't be Metallica) and Atreyu will be back, along with a few other bands I'd love to see.

However, since Ozz Fest wont be within a 50 mile radius, I probably wont get to go (parents rock!... and so does living rent free... what to do, what to do...), I'm preparing myself for the disappointment months in advance. I'll just have to keep reminding myself that I wont get to go. They wont say No, and hell, they probably wont even give me a straight answer, but that always leads to the assumed 'No'. Going to Ozz Fest & comming back in the same day isn't really an option, since you're outside, close to dying of heat exaustion (& seeing awesome bands), you probably wont leave til late, or if you leave early, you're just too tired to stay awake. 'No'.

.:New Job, 17-3-06:.

Happy St. Patrick's Day. I got a new job... it's cool. My co-workers are fun, I've learnt a trade and the guy sitting next to me just farted. Grrreeeaaaat. Just peachy.

Anywho, continuing on without breathing.... Seeing as how I wont be going to the Rob Zombie show in 10 days, we'll go see his brother (Spider, Powerman 5000) who'll be playing at Planet Rock nearby sometime soon(March 30). My grades are doing good, with my lowest being around a 93, if not higher. That may change though, but I wont get anything lower than a 'B', that I know. *brains...* Part of any healthy diet...

Ah, my movie collection has also grown. I've completed the 'Samurai Champloo' box set, and I've got to pick up Howl's Moving Castle sometime soon. I also got 'The Corpse Bride' (cute) & finally got around to watching 'Le Samurai' (no Englais?!?!) which turned out to be okay for 70-80's french-hitman-noir. I'm falling back on my manga though, with a couple of One Piece, Othello & Shutterbox issues. I also want to get the Boogiepop & Others novella... and I think I want to start collecting the Cowboy Bebop/ Shooting Star manga too. The stories deviate a bit from the anime....

Summer is comming! It's a bit chilly today, but there were 2 days where it was almost shorts weather... even though I don't wear shorts. Except at the beach... and it's not warm enough for that yet.

.:Crash! (forgot the date):.

I still don't like driving. Yesterday we were drving down 'Gumbranch' (it's a road!) and about 100 yards (meters) down the road the was a cloud of dust and a pickup started to swerve. We got down there and pulled over to see if anyone was hurt (and what happened... the voyer within) and this silver pickup had slammed into this red pickup that had decided to turn at the last second. The silver truck's front end was absolutely compacted & the red truck's tailgate was hanging by one hinge (but okay). It was clearly the guy in the red truck's fault, but the guy in the silver truck is most likely going to get the blame because if of the whole 'well clearly you were following too close' thing.

So Poul gets out of the truck (the light traffic has stopped) and goes accross the road to help the guy in the silver truck get out, his door was jammed so Poul helped pull it open. Only when someone heard there were kids in the truck did anyone else try to help the guy. So then Poul and some other guy, through primal grunting and instinct then proceeded to direct traffic around the crash because the police or fire dpt. hadn't shown up yet. Because niether Poul nor the other guy were in a 'uniform', the symbol of official-ish-authority, they got yelled at and harrassed by people being held up. Much cursing. Much tolleration on Poul's behalf.

In the end everyone/ thing was okay and we were gone in 15 minutes... to Wilmington to buy stuff with Doug! Yay!

.:Cars...:.

Okay, so along with my not-so-newfound love of metal in all shapes and sizes, I've been getting into the classic car stuff. Not too much into it, mind you, but there are alot of classic muscle cars around here. There must be about 20 old mustangs in resonable condition in the Jacksonville area alone. And then there's the old coups and a nice old mercedes that's been sitting in the same spot for over a year now...

There was this big garage around the 'Pumpkin Center' area (in fact, directly accross from the pumpkin center itself), that used to be a customs shop, where they'd be working on tacky lowriding hatchbacks and pickups, as well as a corvette they painted neon yellow. *hurk- splotch (vomit)* but it's been taken over by another guy who seems to be restoring all these old caddies and chevelles and all these nice cars... when the weather's warm, Poul and I may stop by and see if they'll show us the cars. They've got 2 warehouses near the garage that're filled with cars and parts. Oooh, I love those cars.

.: School 1:19:06:.

So, I finally started my college classes 2 weeks ago. Since I'm still working what's considered 'Full Time', I'm only taking 2 classes; Intro to Computers (a mandatory class) and Intro to Political Science. Together they're worth a total of 6 credits. I need 62-64 to get an 'associates degree' which'll allow me to transfer to another college to complete an actual bachelor's... or masters, should I decide I want a higher degree and successfully rob people in order to pay for the 'higher learning status.' I probably wont, but I figured I may as well give continued learning a try so I don't end up 'regretting not doing so' if I get old.

My classes so far are fine. I seemed to have picked the easiest classes. Very little work load... I think I'll study this time around... ;)
