I need to point out that the date is wrong on the little camera.  It was more like 2/20/07, or therabouts.
The next thing I want to point out is that there is no deeper  "Deep South" than the Louisiana-Mississippi  east to west  border.
Loving the atmosphere there, I'd decided to retrace a  ride I had taken a few years back. As a change up, I'd crisscross the state line as often as possible instead of trying to stay in Mississippi, a game I'd played on that ride..
I ended up in Gillsburg Mississippi.  Again, I was drawn to shoot some Relaxed Southern Architecture.
You may ask, "Why do you say "Relaxed" in discribing the architecture"?
    I would answer, "Porches".
The next order of business was to check out the church. Below is one of the Gillsburg churches. I did not catch its denomination. My bet is Baptist with Methodist in second place. The sign above the cemetery gate reads,"Gillsburg Memorial Gardens". Didn't  want you sqinting.
There, Ms. Gill's grave is set apart. I don't know if her likeness is that of the statue's.
I forgot what significanc she played in the community. Maybe I should go back to cow reporting.
More Relaxed Architecture exiting town.
