History
The Navajo People have been here for centuries according to there stories and geographcial land. The Navajo people have a story about 12 worlds and in those 12 right now we are in the 5th world. They call this world the Glittering World. The Diné people believe this world is the home for the five finger people like us. There home is loacted in the four corner region this includes Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. This place they call home because all there ceremonies, stories, and gatherings take place here. This is home Dinetah (Navajo Homeland)
Location
The Navajo people are loacted in the four corner region and they have about 500,000 in role Navajo's They are one of the biggest tribe throughout the United States and have the biggest reservation. There language is alive among the elderly population and some younger adults. The tribe lives within the four sacred mountains which are Mount Blanca, Mount Taylor, San Fransico, and Mount Hesperus. There land has so much resources and vaule like oil, water, vegetation, and so much more. The people take care of the land and in return the land takes care of them.
People
The Navajo people are very well open minded people. They respect all people and genders> Through there stories and teachings there is no such thing as discrimination or bias. They believe everyone is put here for a reaosn and should be treated with equality and respect. With this website I am welcoming everyone from different backgrounds, religions, and nationalitys to learn about my culture and language.
