Oakland County: 1993 Economic Update
Troutstream may be a rowdy website. It might be an example of self-indulgence, gone amuck. The content herein could conceivably be termed, "lame duck." (I hope not). Certainly, no one can argue the inclusion of this previously-unpublished account of the economic vitality of Michigan's Oakland County represents an attempt to provide some balance to this site.
This work was assembled in 1992 for the now defunct publishing arm of Minnesota-based Jostens. The work came on the heals of the 1989 publication of my original work on the subject, Oakland County: Making It Work In Michigan.
I hope the inclusion of this writing in the Troutstream website will provide readers with valuable insight into Michigan's most dynamic county, where I was born and have chosen to live and work (in the garden).
Primarily, the decision to include this portion of Troutstream represents a public service to curious readers and students of Oakland County, alike. I hope you enjoy its content.
