BUTTERFLIES,in WARM WEATHER LIKE TO STAY IN TREES AND WOODED
AREAS.You can improve the chances of getting them to use your
house
Place the house in a sheltered place
Make sure it is around flowers or other flowering plants
Provide a source of fresh water
BUTTERFLIES,look for warm sheltered places to spend the
winter. This,is where the butterfly house will help out.You will have
alot more butterflies in the spring time.

You can build a butterfly house any
size you like. They are just looking
for a place out of the weather and
away from things that would eat
them. But, you don't want to make
the slits,much bigger.
MOST IMPORTANT : HAVE FUN !!!!!
You may place the house on a pole 3
or 4 foot high,or just hang it in a tree
or a bush
PAINTING : If you would like to paint your
house,Use bright colors and flower
shapes.NEVER PAINT THE INSIDE OF THE
HOUSE
USE BRASS SCREWS IF YOU
CAN,I used a #6x1/2.BUT
YOU CAN USE WHAT YOU
HAVE :)
HINT : It is better to Bevel
your front and back edge
cuts,But if you can't you
can just sand the edges to
get a tight fit.

ON THE INSIDE PLACE 3 or 4
OVERLAPPING PICES OF
BARK.Use small nails or screws
to HOLD it them in place.
HINT : USE BARK FROM YOUR LOCAL TREES

CHILD AROUND ALL TOOLS!
