OK,THIS IS VERY EASY
Find a shallow pan(a old pie tin
works)that has not had any oil of any
kind in it.Place CLEAN small rocks or
gravel,in the pan.Ok,that was the hard
part ;).Now,put it somewhere near your
butterfly house,in the shade and near
flowers.Fill with water, almost to the tops
of the rocks.Change the water every day
or 2.Thats it!
ADVANCED WATERING
Some species of butterflies, will not drink any
open water, they get it from the nectar and
dew from the flowers. But you can still help
them out :).Get a pan ,just like above and fill it
with clean sand(note:I use playsand,or sand
that is made for use in fish tanks).Pour water
into the sand intell it is wet,but with no water
on top of the sand. You MUST!! change the
water and sand every 2 or 3 days. The easy
way to do this,is to have 2 pans of sand. When
it's time to change it out,put the second pan
and water in the same place.Take the frist
pan,and empty it on to a tin foil, and let it
dry.You see where this is going?;)When it is
time to change it again, reuse the old
sand.Another hint: after a rain,you can just
drain the extra water out of it.
