HISTORY

The softball program was started in 1961 in the West Mountain area of Hamilton. The park is bounded by Stacey Ave., Laurier Ave., and Columbia Ave.

The baseball program runs from mid-May until the end of August with a Fun Day held on a Saturday in early September after which there is an award presentation.

Buchanan Park has a playground and soccer field as well as five baseball diamonds and a snack bar / club house. The building housing the snack bar was constructed in 1972.

New fencing and screens were installed by the City of Hamilton in 2003 for diamonds 1 through 4.
