Buffy woke slowly, reaching for Angel in her sleep. Her body was humming; last night had been the best night of her life. She stretched her arm across the bed found the sheets cold.

"Angel" she called sitting up, pulling the sheets around her. There was no sign of him anywhere.

The girl knew that she was spooking herself. The park was quiet, not a soul around. She wasn't wrong. Walking home through the park had seemed like a good idea until now. She glanced back nervously, the dark wooded path lay empty behind her. The rustling of the leaves was giving her chills and she couldn't shake the feeling that someone or something was watching her. She picked up her pace practically running; sure that something was closing in on her almost touching her. Almost at the end of the path, she could see her car parked across the street. She reached into her pocket desperately searching for her keys, praying that she'd out run her invisible predator. Now fully running, she gasped at the growling sound close against her ear. Impossibly strong arms closed around her just before her feet reached the pavement outside the park. She turned facing her attacker, looking right into his eyes for an instant before his fangs sunk deep into the flesh of her neck. The last thought she had before losing consciousness was how beautiful his eyes were.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T WANT TO BLOODY KILL HER", Spike sputtered out incredulously. He sat in his wheelchair staring up at Angelus in utter astonishment. "I don't understand." Angelus stood silently, taking a deep drag on his cigarette clutching the limp body of a young brown haired girl in one hand.

"You heard me Spike," Angelus started as leaned in close to the blonde's face. "The fact that you repeated it back to me is evidence that there is nothing wrong with your hearing." His voice had dropped to almost a whisper. "So" he started pausing deliberately to blow a cloud of cigarette smoke into his childe's face.

"What I don't understand is why we are still discussing it." Spike could see Drusilla scurrying away from what was rapidly becoming a dangerous situation. It burned him that as soon as Angelus returned she submit to him as if it hadn't been their home all these months.

"You're right Angelus". Spike decided to try a different tactic since no one was backing him up. It seemed to be working as the darker haired vampire straightened up and reached in the direction of the unconscious body of dark haired victim. "So what's the plan?"

The sound of Dru crying out from across the room reached Spike faster than the realization that Angelus had snatched him up out of his wheel chair and he was now dangling inches off the ground.

"The plan? Let's seethe plan is you have five seconds to remember your place boy!" Spike found himself roughly hurled to the ground. "I'll tell you when there is a fucking plan," Angelus called walking out of the room.

As soon as Angelus left the room, Drusilla rushed over to Spike. "Why did you do that? Daddy can get into such a temper" she groaned almost crying as she lifted Spike back into his chair.

"Oh, so he's Daddy again? It's been like a fucking century Dru and you just kneel down before him?"

"ButSpikewe have to. He is our Daddy."

"The hell he is. I don't know who that was. Don't kill the slayer? Has he gone mad?"

"DRUSILLA", Angelus' voice boomed through the factory. Spike felt something snap inside him as she turned without a word and scuttled out of the room. He could feel tears threatening as he thought of the two of them together.

Angelus studied Drusilla as she entered the room, her head bowed. She and Spike had been his most prized children. Her pale face was like fine porcelain, crowned by her soft black hair. He motioned for her to come to where he was stretched out on the bed, feeding on a young girl. Laying her head in his lap, he stroked her head softly and let his mind wander. So many things to do. He just needed to clear his head. Sunnydale was just the kind of town to wreak havoc in. He had already been contacted by the Mayor about a job. There was lots of money to be had and lots of warm bodies to feed on. Only downside to Sunnydale was the Slayer. Spike had been right it seemed like madness for him to not want to kill her. He couldn't really explain it, but he felt like part of him still needed her. For a moment his mind drifted to Buffy and her sweet cries of passion the night before. All he could think about was when he would have her again.

Would he be able to have her again? Buffy was the Slayer. She was chosen to fight evil and protect the innocent. Now he was in fact evil again. He had fed on innocents that very night after making love to her. Making love to herthe memory heated his whole body. He could feel the desire for her growing again. He glanced down at Drusilla thoughtfully, but she was too cold and pale to satisfy him. He had to have Buffy again. So he would just pretend everything was normal, he decided draining the last of young victim's blood. He pushed the corpse aside and it crashed to the floor with a thud. Just because he had lost his soul and returned to a life of unspeakable evil, didn't mean that he and Buffy couldn't live a normal happy life.

Part 2:

Buffy paced back and forth in Angel's apartment at sundown. No one had heard from him all day. She had the strangest feeling that something bad was coming. Her birthdays were jinxed. She looked around the apartment for some clue of what could have happened to him, but it was exactly the way she had left it that morning. It didn't look like he had been there all day. Her stomach was in knots. She glanced over at the unmade bed, warm memories of their lovemaking washed over her. What if he was gone?

Suddenly, something about the room changed. She froze tuning in her slayer senses trying to detect anything unnatural. She turned examining the room slowly and found nothing. Nevertheless, there was something watching her hunting her. She was sure of it. It was like an energy had filled the room, making its supernatural presence known. She had felt it before and it made her blood run cold. It was close. She reached for the stake inside her jacket and spun ready to attack. Before her body had even completed the turn, she collided with large hulking immovable mass, standing impossibly close behind her. She screamed trapped in it's vice like embrace.

"Buffy, Buffy, it's me." She looked up into Angel's familiar face. Except, that he seemed to be glowing. Ethereal almost. She stood for moment stunned by his visage. "Thanks for the security. I was thinking about getting an attack dog, but I guess you have it covered."

"Angel I didn't hear you come in", she finally said still confused by the whole thing.

"I guess I was too stealthy for my own good."

"Oh God, Angel I was so worried," she said throwing her arms around him in relief. "I've been looking for you everywhere."

Angelus cupped her head, pressing it against his chest. For a moment he just took in the sensation of having her so close. He could still sense a little hint of her fear lingering in her, but it was fading quickly. He hadn't been able to resist sliding into the window and creeping up behind her. The human blood had sharpened his skills. He had been able to slip right up behind her.

"I know, I know," he said. "I shouldn't have left like that. It's just that after last night, I realized that I couldn't allow for you to always in danger. I had to go see Spike."

"You what" she asked pulling back to look at him. "What happened?" She started touching his arms, legs and chest looking for an injury.

"Nothing" now this would be the tricky part. Much to his dismay he had to pull her searching hands away so that he could concentrate. "I just explained to Spike that you were off limits. Anyway I was stuck there until nightfall. I'm sorry that you were worried." She stared at him more than a little shocked, almost laughing.

"Oh my God, you're serious. You just told him? I'm sure he just agreed" she said sarcastically.

"Well more or less. "

"What.how? Did you kill him?" It was the only thing she could think of. "Or is this joke?" If it was, she didn't see where it was very funny.

Angelus sighed trying to hide his impatience. This was not how he wanted to spend his night. He had planned more interesting things than vampire hierarchy, but he could see from her face that she wouldn't be satisfied until she got a better explanation.

"Buffy, come sit" he gestured for her to join him on the couch. When she sat he pulled her toward him so that he back was leaning against his chest. For a minute the scent of her hair dizzied him and all his thoughts were lost. He began to slowly stroke her slim shoulders. He deliberately dragged his fingers over her feeling every ounce of her flesh; the long lean muscles of her upper arms and the delicate bone attached. He could actually feel her blood coursing through the muscle, her steady heartbeat throbbing against his silent chest.

"Angel, it must be a trick." Her voice startled him out of his exploration.

"No Buffy, see along with all the things that Spike is, he is one other thing above all else. My childe, I am his sire and in turn his master. He just needed to be reminded of that." The tone of the last sentence had a more dangerous quality to it than Angel would have ever used. She didn't seem to notice.

"So what happens now?" He let his hand wander down the front of her shirt in a path between her breasts. He could hear the sound of her heart speeding and he could detect the scent of her arousal.

"I have some ideas" he whispered in her ear. A wave of desire for her rushed over him as he felt her shudder. He desperately fought the urge to tear the clothes off of her, sure that it might arouse some suspicion. He covered each of her breasts with one hand, cupping them lightly and stroking each nipple with his thumb. He could feel the flesh harden and swell under his touch. Her arousal flooded his nostrils. He couldn't believe how acute his senses were from just a day of feeding on humans. He could sense and smell everything about her warm lithe body as it moved in his arms. As Angelus' hand made its way down her stomach into her pants, she flung her head back moaning something incomprehensible, exposing her neck to him.

The scent of her blood suddenly struck him, overpowering him. As the scent of the blood floated up drowning him, he felt his face shift.
