Backstreet Boy Picks Local Interior Designer

He's known as "the sensitive one," but he likes a bit of flash when he's not singing syrupy songs that make teenage girls swoon.

That's why Howie Dorough, 26, of the pop vocal group The Backstreet Boys has hired interior designer Lorraine Rogers Bolton , president of Rogers Design Group in Palm Beach Gardens, to do the interiors for his fifth- floor penthouse pad in a 15 - unit oceanfront codominium he's building in Cocoa Beach.

"I began the design thinking 'creature comforts - after travelling he needed to come home and feel comfortable - but Howie likes the fantasy decor of The Delano," Bolton said. Miami Beach's stylish Art Deco hotel also happened to be Bolton's favorite. She got the job.

Bolton is having furniture for the 3,000 square- foot, three- bedroom apartment custom-made in exotic woods, such as sycamore and rosewood. There's also a stainless-steel pool table and a two-sided fireplace - one side in Dorough's master bedroom and the other in his "romantic retreat." It's built for two, "a cozy intimate spot with a view of the ocean. "

No, ladies, we dont' know the address, he wants it that way.
