Backstreet Boys "Black & Blue"

Setting the international record sales with 5 million sold in one week, the
Backstreet Boys are on the top of their game with their newest album, Black & Blue.
With another leg of their Black & Blue, the guys have little to complain about.
Black & Blue was definitely a step up from the Boys last record, Millennium. This time around the Boys wrote more of their own lyrics and melodies. Making Black & Blue more personal. Of course Black & Blue has all the trademarks of the popular group - great ballads, awesome up tempos, and wonderful harmonies.
With two of the Boys graduating to men last year by getting married, that leaves only three Boys, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough and AJ McLean for the girls to fight over. Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson give the guys that bit of maturity that can raise the boys from the boyband level. Lyrically and musically, the Boys have definitely left the boyband days behind.
Their tour has even changed face as they've grown up. They are no longer concerned with all the pyrotechnics or dancing. Not to say, that they aren't part of the show. But, it seems that the most important part of the show nowadays is the singing. The concert is longer than anyone before, covering most of the songs on the album, plus a few favorites. The Black & Blue tour is definitely different from any other tours the guys have done before.
If anyone questions the Backstreet Boys popularity, just watch MTV's Total
Request Live. The Boys are riding steady in the number one position with The Call and before that The Shape of My Heart. The TRL audience is still showing the Boys the love. Only time will tell how long the Boys will be on top, but as long at they are making music, the fans will buy the CDs. I can most definitely say that we won't be saying goodbye to the Backstreet Boys anytime soon. They are here to stay for a while.
