Backstreet Boys Coming To Post Gazette

New York, NY (March 27, 2001) - In an effort to stay as close to their fans as possible, Backstreet Boys will bring their "Black & Blue World Tour" back to 35 North American venues, kicking off June 8 at the TD Waterhouse Arena in the band's hometown of Orlando, Fla. The Backstreet Boys will be in concert on Tuesday, June 26 at the Post Gazette Pavilion. Tickets are on sale now.

Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson's return to North America comes after sold-out shows in Mexico, and the US and performances in South America and Puerto Rico. The "Black & Blue World Tour" officially kicked off January 22 in Ft. Lauderdale in front of a sold-out crowd at National Car Rental Arena. Some of the production elements that highlight the black & Blue Tour include awe-inspiring pyrotechnics, a multi-level stage and multiple video screens as well as side runways that go ten rows into the venue, enabling the group to get even closer to the audience. The show is a multi-media presentation with innovative sound, lights and interactive video footage that intensifies the bond between the Backstreet Boys and the fans.

"The Black & Blue World Tour" will also be one of the hottest packages of the summer with Shaggy and Krystal as the opening acts. Shaggy's second album "Hotshot" recently spent four consecutive weeks at the top of the album chart and features the hit singles "Angel" and "It Wasn't Me."

Up-and-comer Kyrstal, who has been on the road with Backstreet Boys since the "Black & Blue World Tour" began, will also continue on the second leg of the US tour. Krystal, the first artist signed to the Backstreet Boys' label, has been enjoying tremendous fan response in support of the forthcoming album Me and My Piano and the upcoming first single "Supergirl."
