Backstreet Boy Reveals Stalker Fear
Source: worldpop.com
Backstreet Boys' AJ Mclean has installed top of the range security at his US pad because he's terrified of falling victim to a crazed stalker.
McLean lives within a gated community in a property guarded by a powerful laser defence system which if triggered off alerts the local police.
He admits to being shaken up by the horrifying incident last year in which ex-Beatle George Harrison was attacked by a stalker in his own home. 'You don't feel 100% safe any more,' muses McLean adding, 'that's why you've got security. There's some sick freaks in the world - besides me!'
The singer, who also goes by the alter ego Johnny No Name, also revealed that he used an intricate system of cameras to track the whereabouts of girlfriend Amanda when they shared his waterfront apartment. Although McLean insisted he merely wanted to make sure she was safe while he was jetting the world with his record-breaking band he joked he also used the equipment to spy on his on-off partner to ensure she was in on time and hadn't brought any strange guys into his home!
Meanwhile Backstreet Boys are set to release The Call, the second track from their latest album Black & Blue, but McLean is already planning his first single under his bad boy Johnny No Name image. He told worldpop he'd written three songs one of which is called Privacy Homicide and has a 'hardcore rock, Megadeth' sound to it.
