The Backstreet Boys have whipped their fans across the world into a frenzy with their single, Shape of My Heart, following hot on the heels of the massively selling album, Millennium.

The new album, Black & Blue, has been tipped by many to be the boys' last studio release, with rumours they are all keen to pursue individual goals having already reached the peaks of success.

Media from across the globe descended on New York earlier this month for a five-day event with the boys.

A listening room was created to give journalists a chance to hear six tracks from the new album before conducting their interviews with the band. One day was devoted entirely to a photo session with award-winning photographer Michael Lavine, who took cover shots for magazines around the world.

When Shape of My Heart was released to radio in the US it set a new airplay record. It was heard by 15 million people in 48 hours and was played 1500 times!

To complete the shattering release, the boys will be visiting eight cities in six continents in just two days. This will include a stopover in Sydney on November 19 which has Australian fans extremely excited as the band has not been in this country for four years.
