Brian is Next Man to Get Married!
Source: Swedish pop magazine 'Okej' and Backstreet News

Just recently Kevin promised his girlfried Kristin that he would love her for better and for worse. But this first marriage in the Backstreet Boys doesnt seems to be the last.

Nick Carter tells OKEJ that he thinks that Brian is up next.

But the question is when?

To suddenly see a Backstreet Boy at McDonalds, or down at the gym in Stockholm is no longer a sensation, its a daily event, because the Backstreet Boys have made Stockholm their second home. Every time they record a new album they come to Stockholm. Well, this is where Max Martin lives, right?

The Backstreet Boys were here in July at different times, and we will hear the result of this visit before Christmas.

During some hectic weeks, the Swedish fans had a lot to do. Not only the Backstreet Boys, but also Westlife were in town, so Stockholm became a Mecca for boyband fans. The phone-chains have never been busier, and it wasnt easy for any of the guys to go somewhere without getting mobbed by the tailing fans

The schedule for the Backstreet Boys was, as always, very pressed, but during a recording break, Nick answered OKEJs questions.

You interrupted your recording to fly to London and take part in Party In The Park, but performed without AJ, who flew home to the States because of illness in the family. How was it to perform without him?

"We found a replacement for poor AJ," laughs Nick. E"lton John himself took his place. We had planned to do a duet with him anyway, but when we got there without AJ we thought that Elton could take his place. He sang The One and I Want It That Way very well! It was very flattering and definitely an honour to perform with Elton John"

How well do you know Stockholm after all these visits?

"Its always very nice to come here," Nick thinks. "Its an incredibly beautiful city and the people here are also very pleasing. The out-life is great too!"

Is there any typical Swedish thing that you love?

"Yes, Swedish meatballs! They definitely taste best in Sweden. Most of the time the weather is nice and a good temperature too, during the summer, anyway" Hmmit looks as though Nick hasnt stuck his nose out very often. And if he had done that, it would have gotten wet, because the July-rain never stoppedBut sure, the sun shined sometimes, and its probably better than the hot-hot Florida.

Has the competition with Nsync become tougher now since their album became such a hit?

"No, there are enough fans for both of us."

You are both battling over the same songs from Cheiron. How do you know that you get the best songs?

"We dont, but Max and his partners are writing so many songs, there are enough for all of us, including Britney.

We all have a somewhat different style. A typical Britney-song wouldnt fit us"

How are the new songs compared to those on Millennium?

"Well, I think they are as good as the old ones, or even better! Its going to be very exciting to see if the fans feel the same. We are very happy with our songs. We have all been involved in the writing this time, even if we have done some work with a line of different songwriters."

Did you chose to record in the Bahamas because of the studio or because of the beautiful environment?

"Both of them. The studio is one of the best, its peaceful and quiet, very relaxing, and we needed that. We wanted to escape the usual things that bother us. At the Bahamas we got to be left alone and got some peace to work."

What can you tell us about Kevins marriage with Kristin Willits?

"Oh, it was a small, intimate wedding in Kevins hometown. He wanted to keep it all personal."

Can we count on some more Backstreet weddings in the near future?

"Yes, Nick says, a bit cryptical. "I think Brian is next"

Who knows, maybe Brian and Leighanne already have tied knots when you read this. Which means that there are only three singles left in the band.

The question is how long will that last?
